And she passed with flying colours!

He did say that my exhaust went almost off the scale on their decibel meter but there are no hard and fast rules as long as it doesn't blow.

All good though and the car is reported to be in excellent shape.

Nice one. You don't know what the reading was do you? It would be good to know the 'maximum' achievable. we could have a new scale 'dBK'...dBs down on KentishS2 exhaust.

I didnt know they did a Db check, I watched mine go through its MOT in December and they didnt check, are they supposed to?

On another note Kenny, hows the car going, I spoke to Tim Lamont this morning about the twin throttle plenum and it appears we will see how TVR-Power mount yours before deciding how best to do it?? Can you send me some photos over when you get it back??

Cheers mate meet up soon, how about a Mid Essex meet when you get the car back?

Mike,

I don't think the MOT includes anything more than a "by ear" check but as it was loud they apparently did a check and it is above the loudest level (there is one apparently, chris (wildfire) did post the level) but the garage I use are sensible and they look after several TVRs so they were inclined to let it go.

Nice walking around in there, today they had a Ferrari (looked like a long term project) not sure of the model but it was a metal one similar in shape to a 308, there was a nice mid 70's 911 and I think ....a Bristol. It's a lovely old garage and it's like stepping back in time with all the wood floor boards upstairs and wooden panels and all the old memorabilia.

The engine work is complete - they were putting it back in the car yesterday. Dom didn't mention any problems with the plenum so I presume it fitted OK. Unfortunately can't pick up the car this week & I'm off for 2 weeks so it'll have to wait until I get back.

I don't have a digital camera but I'll try and borrow one & sort some piccies out.

Mid Essex sounds good. Need to put 1K miles on it so any excuse !

Cheers, Kenny
