Discussion
if somebody is searching an original iron-cast exhaust manifold for the left side, here you go:

Am rather bored so had a look for the right l part.
Are these correct?

Apologies in advance if I'm wrong, I'm not that versed on the 2.8

Am just slightly intrigued as to what the correct part is. Have been lucky sometimes looking for things off the cuff and they unusually appear/badly advertised/underpriced. Was sort of hopeful that this might have been the case again
The first item posted by Llantrisant is NOT the correct exhaust manifold for the 2.8 Cologne S1. It looks like a mirror image of the one that fits the RH side on the S1. The manifold depicted will not fit either side of an S1.
TVR swapped the manifolds over from the Ford layout so that they bring the exhaust forwards instead of backwards. The correct TVR S1 RH manifolds are Taunus/ Cortina 2.8 or 2.3 LH items, but they have to be modified to fit the S1, the flange faces have to be ground to the correct angle to bring the "leg" of the manifold inboard and down to clear the chassis rail below the alternator.
The second set of manifolds posted by The Big G are later 2.8 Capri/ Granada/ Sierra items. I would guess that the stubby ones would fit the L.H. side of the S1 without modification, but the longer "fish-shaped" ones will not fit the RH side without fouling, and will not match up to the hockey stick downpipe.
I posted a topic on this subject about 3 years ago giving part numbers and photos showing how to do the mod.
Thanks for bringing these manifolds to our attention, because they are indeed getting like hens' teeth.

This is the correct manifold for the RH side of the TVR S1:

.....and this shows how the flanges were ground to avoid fouling the chassis rail..

The manifold shown in your ebay link is a mirror image of this. I've not seen one like that before, it is clearly identified as TVR in the casting, perhaps it's from a 2.8 Tasmin? It would not fit an S1 RH side, the dog leg would point up towards the alternator.
Edit: I suppose, with this being TVR, I'd better qualify my assertion by saying that it could possibly have been fitted to the LH side on some S1's, but I've never seen that on any S1 so far. The LH manifold is usually a stumpier affair, like the shorter one shown in the Big G's link.

UPDATE: There is another manifold on Llantrisant's ebay link, under "weitere ahnliche artikel" ( further items ), priced at €39 , for Links ( LH ) Ford Consul, Taunus, etc. This IS the correct one for the RH side of an S1, but will require the flanges to be ground to fit.
