i look at this design and think - surely this is a place to store air? anyone got a good solution?

The original top-hose has a little screw vent in it, and is more gently curved. Tim at ATC certainly does a replacement silicone hose with the gentle curve and he might do one with the bleed screw. Worth a call.

Using the word "design" in connection with anything on an 'S', other than the engine/chassis combination and the shape of the body, is really a misuse of the word. laugh

yeah, problem is it was 'designed' for that hose to run to the top of a rad that was higher than that spout! as on my old landrover
bleed screw is a good idea

just looking at your pic again and it looks to me like the 1st bit of pipe coming up from the spout before the elbow is longer than it needs to be, looks like you could cut and inch or 2 off and still have enough pipe to clamp over the spout and thus slightly reducing air trap by lowering elbow in relation to swirl pot?

I love reading these posts of TVR design or lack of it smile, back of a fang packet, designed on the workbench speaks to mind smile, wouldn't have it any other way, otherwise we would have no man cave's fixing and re engineering our P&J's, long may it continuesmile
