Can anyone tell me which is the correct fan belt for the S2 2.9 the belts I have seen seem to be to big or too small,
I have tried two different belts and all they do is twist and disfigure.

What are the ones you have tried?
I can check the number on mine if you need it - not sure of the make but it works anyway! Think the numbers are based on length and width - used to be anyway.

Have you tried the QBB 1200 from Quinten Hazell
they suggest on the alternative parts list.
If that's wrong I have a spare in the boot, Ill get the number off it.

I used a QH QBA1200 (1200mm) belt. But it's possible the size could vary, depending on the adjustment of the alternator mounting (which, by the way, is TVR not Ford).
Make sure you get the belt in a position where it won't cut into the swirl pot top hose.

I went to Halfords with my old one and checked it against thier fan belt listings...Turned out to be a belt for the power steering for a V6 Sierra.

IIRC 1200 was a bit too long on mine and I couldn't stop it slipping and I fitted a 1175.

Unipart no;GVB21200 about £4.50.1200 length works okay on my s2.
