A new hood for J-LLO
Discussion
I have J-LLO booked in for a new hood at the Hood Guys in Birmingham on March 3rd.

I will be able to see out of the back window again when I reverse out of the garage, but not most of the time when I am driving as the hood will be down...
Advice now needed on a towel or whatever to protect the Vybak when the hood is folded. Should this be green or biscuit coloured? Can I create something from margarine tubs? Decisions, decisions.

I use one of those padded door draught excluders, keeps a nice shape in the folded window and wedges up behind the boot bulkhead for storage.Rob.
Hi Tony,
I would recommend an appropriate length of tubular foam pipe insulation as a core, wrapped in a Versace fine Egyptian cotton bath towel in Emerald Green with Greek pattern borders at each end in a nice gold thread. This pleasing high class sausage can be kept nicely in shape by an appropriate number of either:
a)biscuit coloured elastic bands,
b) ladies' stretchy hair bands in Sherwood Green, Gold, or Biscuit ( not ginger though ) or:
c) Gold ribbons carefully tied in exquisite bows by your head lady-in-waiting.
Good luck with The Hood. If you have any trouble, the Tracey family ( International Rescue ) are but a distress call away on Tracey Island.
Thunderbirds are GO!

Those are just blatantly overpriced pipe insulation sleeves that were rejected because the hole in the middle was missing.
And they are the most awful colours as well! No, I'm sorry, but our P&Js are worth so much more than that make-do-and-mend idea Phonzie! Also the towel is a most important consideration. You should never go anywhere without your towel*.

I favour the plumbing foam pipe cover covered in a towel to give it both extra girth and so that you always know where your towel is **
And knowing where your towel is will ensure that you are a really Hoopy Frood !
And you can dry your seats if it rains on you, which is quite handy !

That's what I use- colour doesn't exactly match the paint but it's close enough

Ah, mine's the de-luxe version with a nice black fabric cover, courtesy of little sis' and her magic sewing machine...
