(do parden the old pic, its alot tider now wink)

Conveniently 'TVR-Parts' now have them listed & i noticed theres RH one, am i correct in thinking this is the one on my pic above & sits just above the wheel to stop mud etc? just checking before i purchase & get hit with £7 delivery laugh

Yes there is a right hand one as well and it will have a formed recess to miss the servo piping. I would be interested to see how you get on with it. On the early cars the moulding of the offside/righthand inner wheel arch is distorted; the angle of the inner lip isnt 90 degrees to the top and they never seem to fit as well as the nearside. I have seen several cars like that. If the new panel has corrected this then I would be interested in one myself as mine is a bit damaged. Report back!!

Are these the ones you mean ? These are off an S2. One has a formed recess, as mentioned earlier.

Yes that's the ones, they look a hell of a lot neater than the old tatty one on mine, would they be the same fit as the S1's?

I think everyone is supposed to have them Alan,
but Alan461 may have removed his as part of his minimalisation programme.

Later cars, S2 onwards I think, had additional arches fitted in the bonnet to join up with the rear arches, thus cutting down road spray even more.
I guess both sections are dispensable if you don't intend driving in the wet.

Glen is right on that. If I remember correctly on the later cars these panels are also slightly wider, certainly those shown above look wider, and have a better angle between the main horizontal and vertical profiles. The later type as being sold by TVR Parts should fit the earlier cars OK, and be an improvement.

Running without RH arch, without other mods, would make the servo and bulkhead steering joint even more vulnerable.

I took a few pictures of mine earlier. There are indeed two panels per side on my S2. In the photos below, the smaller one fixes to the body and the bigger one fixes to the bonnet.

1. Passenger Side (arrowed indent is actually for the windscreen washer reservoir)

2. Driver Side
