Having had the S back from the trimmers for a while, I've only started tinkering again today. Biggest problem I have is no electrical supply to the fuel pump when the ignition is on. The starter motor turns the engine but it won't fire without the old fuel stuff..! I haven't dived too deep yet as I'm sure there's a few that may have suffered the same fate and know which direction to point me.. It worked fine when the car was delivered but didn't when I collected it, but as I was running late (no surprises there) we pushed the car onto the trailer. It's possible that a wire may have been accidently disconnected during the carpet install, but I have no idea what I'm looking for and don't fancy stripping out all my lovely loom that I so carefully installed. I've checked all the fuses in the fusebox, wiggled the 4 relays next to them and visually looked for anything odd. I'm unsure which relay controls the fuel pump and where it's located, so any help would be gratefully received... biggrin

Almost certainly.

My money would be on a fuse (worth another look) and/or a relay. Check the earth connection as well.

It's probably something simple so good luck finding it. But don't expect any sympathy from me on electrical issues tonight laugh

there is a known problem if the relay gets hot - definitely worth checking connections / signs of overheating
