Anyone Looking For An S?

Nice red S3 on Autotrader. Marked as a 2.8 but clearly an S3 with the 'favourite' S4 bonnet.

Nothing to do with me.

Most of the advert refers to a '2.8' including the spec sheet. Just one ref to 2.9. H reg with that bonnet I agree a later car. Looks smart but how often does a car match up to the pictures? Or am I getting cynical in nmy old age. If it is good then that looks like the right sort of price.

I did look at this car but unlike the pics show, the paintwork wasn't good.

I also had a look at the car, the paintwork is not as good as the photos suggest. Being very inexperienced as I am looking to purchase one this year I thought they were asking top money for it. Any thoughts would be helpful as I am considering this car but I think I may hold on and purchase one from a devoted private buyer rather than a dealer

No. I looked at this car a month ago and the lacquer is peeling of the car in several places. As usual, the pics don't show the true condition of the car. It sounded great though, but there was too much work there for the money.
