I got this in my mailbox this morning

http://www.ebay.co.uk/rpp/ebay-car-challenge

Any help? Alternatively, if anyone has a knackered 3000S or Lotus Elan they'd like to give me so I don't get bored next winter let me know laugh

Following receipt of the funding, the restoration must be completed by 3rd July 2016." biggrin

That's 14 weeks from now. So in that time you could one of the following:-

  • Body off chassis restoration.
  • Engine out & full rebuild.
  • Brake & suspension overhaul.
  • Full respray.
  • Full interior refit & new hood/roof.
Get on with it man!

With decent planning, project management and "specialists" who do what they say they will do, you could do in all in 14 weeks. Ah....I see the flaw in the plan.

My Nomads R.O. has been waiting since 12th October 2015 for his insurance company to get a new windscreen fitted to his 2500M.

He has a lot more patience than I do, but they are sorely trying it with the latest estimate of delivery on April 1st. jester

I wonder if eBay can help?

Thought this was going to be helpful for the little Rochdale Olympic restoration I've got coming up.. However 3 months for a full rebuild is totally absurd. It's difficult to understand the logic of this competition.. confused

It's perfectly understandable Tel. Imposing those T's & C's means there is little chance they will have to fork out the three £4000 prizes.
Their beneficence knows no bounds. frown
