Hi all,

Does anyone have a spare steering column for an s2 they don't want any more in exchange for a donation of beer tokens, or can someone confirm which Ford it is off.

Thanks

Bill

Steering column for most of the S-series is Ford Sierra. I have seen a few people say "Fiesta" but I don't think that's right, but there may be a few - this is TVR we are talking about here!

The only Chevette bit, I think, in the steering system is the rack casing, and maybe the rack and pinion itself - all of the balljoints, steering arms etc are Ford.

On My S1 the steering column above the universal joint is Mk 1 Sierra - not sure where the sections between the u/J and the rack come from.
The S2's appear to be the same.

Hi Glen,

Edit: What is wrong with your original column?

Nothing, but as this is a track and sprint car I would like to fit a quick release steering wheel to aid access when the roof is on.
I just want another column to weld the necessary boss on to and keep the original for the future.

Cheers

Bill
