One of the things I hadn't realised as part of the re-negotiations with the EU was a clear plan to standardise across Europe of driving on the right. The Eu has set a 2022 deadline for standardisation on this and so if we stay in the Eu we will effectively be committed to a big switch-over in the way that the Scandinavian countries did in the 80's.

I for one, will definitely be on the lookout for a LHD 'S' as a restoration project over the next few years.

If anyone knows of one (Or any other classic TVR) please let me know.

I understand that this changeover to driving on the right will be phased in gradually to allow people to get adjusted to it.

For the first three months, it will only apply to cars, followed by lorries and buses, then a further three months later, motorbikes and cycles.

Ah it all makes sense to me now, thanks for that clarification Glen, that shouldnt be a problem should it?

Now lets see, search ebay for Centurian Tank (needed by 2022).....plenty of time. 9 months later I should be able to get most of my money back...I can see it now; for sale 'used Tank in slightly distressed condition, variety of paint colours on extremeties, central driving position etc.......

Not a good idea !! In keeping with the EU' preference for rules, regulations and paperwork I think you should be given the choice, e.i. you arrive at a border, any border, you fill out a form and elect on which side of the road you want to drive....much better !

Has anybody ever done a RHD to LHD conversion ?

Seriously, since my RHD is now living in a LHD country and with the body off and engine out, it got me thinking .......

idea Buy a UK RHD V6S for £3k, convert it and sell it for > €15k in LHD land bounce
