You after the dimensions on the rack body, or the positions of the chassis mounting bolts?

The two mounting brackets are 10" apart and the two bolts in each bracket are about 3 1/4" apart. The bolts look like 1/2" UNC.

I don't know whether the rack mounting dimensions are designed metric or imperial, but they look like round numbers in imperial units so I suspect they're imperial.

On the theory that the rack body was sourced from a Chevette, which is really an Opel, which is German, I'm sticking with metric biggrin

I was looking at a Rover SD1 power rack but as I suspected it's too long.
I do have a Chim power rack that is going off to Kiley Clinton for inspection and rebuild. It will be for sale if it turns out to be sound.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through converting my S3 to Pas, using an Impreza pas rack. But I have loads of other 'to do first' jobs ! So the remainder will be concluded at a much later date.

I remember reading about a popular electric PAS conversion, which might be an easier approach if you're struggling to find a suitable rack.

Alan Whitaker has installed a Corsa electric column in his S - not on the road yet though

I recall Engineer1949 (on PH) is also offering electric PAS using the Corsa B column.

Fitting the 'inline' electric power steering needs bracing to the existing column frame / install. Not impossible, as demonstrated by the number who have done it, but a bit more involved.

I've yet to make up my mind and will see if moving the steering wheel nearer will improve matters.

I recall that Chris the OP did an electric PAS conversion on his V8S?
