Hi,

The car, a 1991 V8S, is not with me at the moment so could anyone give me the measurements of the gear lever and storage area in the centre console. I am trying to source some alloy surrounds.

I'd wait until you get yours back as they are all likely to be slightly different depending on who was using the hacksaw on the day.

My gear lever hole has been modified a bit so my measurements will be no use to you (plus what Joe said) but the hole is quite big, I had no joy trying to find a trim when I went looking.

Do recall someone on here making there own, looked good in the photo's.

You might find it easier to get the surround you want then make the hole in the console fit the surround, either by trimming some off or building up with GF.

That's the easy bit, sorting out the vinyl (or leather?) may be a bit more of a challenge

Thanks for the replies. I guess like most things TVR there is no such thing as standard. Car Builder Solutions have two rectangular chrome surrounds that are 195mm X 107mm and 165mm X 107mm so was kind of hoping these might do the job but will check dimensions on mine when I get back to the UK.
