Just want confirm all is well, my temperature gauge while driving has always sat dead horizontal on 90 ( or is the 90 referring to the single line below the red block?)when in a 15 min traffic jam it slowly works itself up to the next line marker which I'm guessing is around 100 ( or is this 90 line marker?)this I guess is when the fan cuts in as it gets no hotter, but did not return to 90( horizontal) till diving at speed again, coolant and level are fine , well bled with no air locks , and correct lids on expansion tank and swirl pot .
Is this normal for the V6 S ?
Cheers Craig

It could be that the radiator is becoming a little inefficient and requires a flush through, or maybe even a recore if it is getting properly clogged up.

I had a similat issue a while ago, albeit not on a TVR but a Classic V8 Range Rover fitted with electric fans.

I'm slightly confused as to where 90 is on the gauge , is it the single line above half way ?

Generally sounds as if it's working fine though I would expect the temperature to slowly drop with the fan on but not fully down to the normal level till you get on the move again. I would check the fan is actually working, let it tick over stationary with bonnet up to confirm the switch and the fan are ok.
Not sure where 90 actually is on the gauge, always wondered that myself.

Hi Craig
I answered this on FB smile
The only point you can definitely check is 100 degC (or very close to it)

it seems most gauges read between horizontal and the white line when at normal operating temperature.

I believe 100degC is at the beginning of the red sector.

So I'm guessing that the white line is the 90 mark then, my normal running temperature while driving is slightly cold

it may have an 82degC thermostat in - so could be fine
