The bonnet is now off but the headlight wiring is a total mess with several different types of connectors mostly held together with tape.
I would like to make a lasting repair and hence use 'mini SureSeal' connectors but I do not know what amps the headlights draw. Does anyone have any idea?
Also does anyone have a wiring diagram to wire the Headlights via a relay hence feeding the lamps direct from the battery?
Thanks Steve

Morning Steve

The headlamp system is fused at 30amps, the high and low beams are fused at 15amps each.

We are allways here to help and I'm sure somebody in your region will have the wiring diagram but IMHO getting Steve Heath's bible is money well spent.

if you want the actual "draw" (rather than the fuse rating) then

amps = watts/volts

so a 60 watt bulb in a 12 volt system will draw 60/12 = 5 amps. The fuse rating will always be slightly higher.

Thanks guy's
That really helps as I was looking to change the headlight bulbs anyway so I can recalculate the rating
