Yes he is taking the piss, you can get exchange chassis from certain specialists.
Or the existing chassis can be repaired as appropriate.

I would like to see pics of the car, and find out if the vendor's uncle was on our owners' list.

Car is in Southampton area.

I have contacted the seller to see if we can get any more information. Agreed that offer is taking the piss and I have told him that. Too far away for me but it would be good if we can get it to someone who would respect and restore it.

Still at 99p, with no reserve. Might be worth it, just for the indicator lenses !

Your a gent richard, Ive also done the same.. £900 is an insult! We often talk highly of our S's & all agree there worth more then they currently are value wise, so its sad to see one listed at 99p start bid?!..

Im even considering scooping it up for full restoration myself rather than let someone offering £900 for it probably to use it just for parts. Just finding someone to get it transported back to birmingham would be the challenging part scratchchin

I have a tow bar and have borrowed a trailer before for such things but that is too far to make sense for me (I'm in the north west).

I don't think £900 is that insulting with assuming the worst for the chassis, engine, electrics and no photos.

With some photos to show the general condition and a better idea of the state of the chassis it's got to be worth at least twice that, probably much more, but then that's the difference between knowing what you're actually buying and guessing based on a handful of words.

That's probably fair. Listing a car on eBay with no pictures is not going to go very well!

Seller has ended this, I do hope it's gone to a good home and not for spares
