The heater control cable is stuck fast. Have tried squirting WD40 up the cable to try and free it but no luck. it look an absolute pig to replace.
Has anyone done it and how easy is it. Is it a stock cable.
Help please

In the short term, under the bonnet you will find the value which you might well be able to open and close manually.. I've an odd cable; it closes the value to allow cooler air in, but I have to open it by opening the bonnet and moving the valve. Not got around to changing the cable yet as it looks a pig of a job..

no good spraying wd40 up the cable, it'd not a lubricant just a water displacer and anyway it won't penetrate the full legnth, what you need is a cable oiler which clamps around the cable enabling you to force oil/freeway up the full legnth of the cable, use 'freeway' first then leave to soak for at least 12 hours then do it again with a thin oil.
