S3 mirror switch wiring
Discussion
I'm hoping someone out there can help. Some time ago I removed my dash and centre console of my H reg S3. On removal I carefully photographed the wiring of all the switches to make the re-install straight forward.
Now I've lost my photos 😱; what a numpty!
Has anyone got photos or drawing of wiring for the dash mirror switches? I think the two switches have 12 spade connectors between them (a large set and a small set of 6) and I haven't got a clue.
Thanks in anticipation

HELP!
Thought I'd got it sorted; it's a TVR I should have known better. My change over switch wires are different colour codes to the ones in the link. I've no idea which is which.
Can anyone help?
The 6 wires I have to my change, over switch are
2 x Black 1 White stripe
2 x Black 2 Yellow stripes
1 x Brown
1 x Brown
1 x White
I've been messing with it all afternoon, looking at the various circuit diagrams in the Bible but just can't figure it out.
hopefully someone else's car has the same codes

Thanks for the quick replies. I've been using the v8S diagram to try and suss it out but again the colour codes are different. Spent most of the afternoon with a multimeter. Got a few theories but I don't want to cause a short circuit by mistake. If I melt some wires it'll just create more work.
I'm hoping someone will just come up with the answer but I may be hoping to much.
Many thanks for the replies so far.

Ok story so far. Disconnected mirrors and identified up/down, left/right and common wires for each. Traced these back to the switch with a meter. With toggle switch wired as per tvrs3.net, measures voltage at wires from relay to selector switch.
Wire a: 12v toggle Left only (as expected as reverse polarity used to reverse motor)
Wire b: 12v toggle up and down (this I wasn't expecting)
Wired it all up and mirrors, Left and Right both move Left and Right when selected ( the wrong side moves) but don't go up and down when the toggle switch is operated. I can hear the relay when toggling Left and Right but not up and down.
Hmmmm. I think the selector switch is sorted (need to swap wires end to end) but the toggle switch wiring is amiss some how. My wires match the colour codes used by tvrs3.net. I've tried rotating them 180' but it blew the fuse.
Anyone got any suggestions other than 'forget about electric mirrors'?
Thanks N

Update. All sorted now. My thanks to those that responded to my call for help.
I tested the toggle switch with a meter to establish how it worked. I then traced each of the wires and all was as expected other than the power for the toggle switch which comes from the Green wire. The red wire is is linked to the red (permanent link through the togle switch).
I also found my switch wiring differed from tvrs3.net in that the black (-) wire and the Grey wire were transposed i.e. the Green and Black are at opposite ends of the switch when viewed from the rear. I also discovered that the switch operates the relay when operates across its long axis as viewed from the rear.
Thanks again
