Urgent request! Paint codes!

Hi all,

I am getting a bit of paintwork done on my 1990 S2 (Gerald for those who know it) which is Magenta. The bodyshop are asking if I have a paint code. I have found Magenta listed as PA51B on the Wiki, does that sound right?

Just been chatting to him and we're the none the wiser really. He seems to think it's a British Leyland Crimson colour, or possibly Ford. I've no idea what it's off. I've got a touchup pen kit which is just marked "TVR PA51B". He's going to check the vehicle data on the sticker under the bonnet...

OK, I shall stop replying to myself now - he's got it from talking to the ICI rep, only one variant apparently so getting some made up...

Maybe too late to be any help for you, but when I was looking for some touch-up paint for Starmist Green paints4u were able to match it from the body code and colour description. I'd be surprised if a good paint shop couldn't do that.

Thanks, yes that's where I got PA51B from, although it didn't seem much help to the paint guy! Hopefully sorted now!
