s2 expansion tank move/ conversion
Discussion
Hi guys
My 89 S2 has just past the mot, but I noticed a water leak while on the ramps, and after removing, now going through the process of getting the radiator repaired so looking to tidy things up, and have seen links showing the expansion tank moved next to the swirl tank and replaced by a cool looking stainless steel container, one link stated - Lot's of us have done this now. Contact ShaunS3C for a proper job...
Any idea's who sells these and where can find out more details?
Many thanks for your help

Hi Dan,
Top lurking there! - 14 posts in 187 months has to be a record of some sort?
You must be one of Petrol Ted's original disciples? A founding member of PH?
I can highly recommend Shaun's craftmanship. I was so impressed I bought his S3c.
And if I'm not being too presumptuous for a newby....
This is looking like another potential S Club Pony Express delivery!
Or perhaps it should it be called "S-Cargo"?
Dan, if you go ahead with ordering one of Shaun's superb stainless twin tower sets for your S2,
I could collect from Shaun ( who's not far from me ) and transport it within pick-up distance of Bury St. Edmunds on my next trip darn sarf to Sible Hedingham to visit family.
Or you could pick it up at S Club Heaven on Sunday 16th July at Uxbridge Auto Show this year's Mecca for all S Owners. ( not just the Top Rank ones! Showing my age there!
)
Or perhaps it will be ready before 'Thrills in the Hills' on 27th May?
Many TVR'S from all over the country will be there for that unmissable event.
I shall be on standby mode.

Plastic expansion tank leaks...never...oh yes, there was Paul...

but the cheap fix isn't stainless, its gaffa tape...

...maybe not, but does work in in the field..
Ref Glens point, I'm in Anglia and doing Thrills event end of May, plus hopefully Barn Farm end June, so happy to courier back to tractor-land.
