Can anyone please help me with some information in the brake servo used in the s3, I have one in a solid condition but am sure it will need a complete over hall. does any one know where they were sourced from and if I can get a break master cylinder kit. thanks TVR people. Darren

Please see https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=75... which relates specifically to an S3 which suggests you probably have the Ford master and servo rather than the Saab version

Hmmmmmm not necessarily so , my S3 has the Saab unit , as usual with TVR 's it was what parts bin was nearest .
Depending on what you need the Saab units are difficult to find and the Ford units are quite expensive , there is company on the East Coast called Past Parts who can re-build the unit and are very helpfull.

My S3C had the SAAB unit; due to the unavailability of the Fiesta parts at the time, I've replaced it with a Ka servo and master cylinder; not quite straightforward, but works well. I'm happy to discuss this with anybody, but as usual please don't try this at home.

If it's a Saab master cylinder the kit is available from Bigg Red on EBay did mine a couple of months ago easy fit just take photos before dismantling so you get the seals the right way round, the pin holding the second set of seals in place is under the the reservoir hose seal just pull out the clip with a pair of pliers. Took me ages to find it 😃

please see image for order info

The problem isnt usually the seal but of rusting of the servo body underneath. Once the metal body is holed the servo is scrap.

Yes the servo does rot if not maintained and painted however from the original post Darren is asking where he can get a master cylinder service kit from as his servo is solid, as per image Big Red do them for the Saab unit.
