Does anyone know where to get new door waist/belt seals, runs along the top of outside of the door, any experience of removing and refitting?

Any help appreciated
Joe

Got mine from Pheonix Trim, part number IRS 1656 EPJ ........... looks like they are building a new website but you should find it if you download their catalogue under "door and window T profiles".

As for fitting them, lots of glue!

Thanks for that, its like looking for a needle in haystack! Do the profiles match well or are they completely different, before I take my door apart I need to know I have the right bits to reassemble!?

Also do you know which is the best flocked U section glass run to fit into the chrome triangle (cheater) supporting the front of the glass when it is up?

Cheers
J

If you want to be able to buy every possible part from one supplier you need an MGB ... biggrin

Channel felt, there's this stuff from TVR Parts but says it's only for later cars?

Stuff I used I bought following a link on this Forum, can't find receipt but possibly 317 or 319 from Woolies Trim

Thinking about the door top trim it needs cutting a little at the front, by the "quarterlight", from memory and the end I tucked under the big plate thing that secures the quarterlight frame. Suppose I ought to motivate myself to take a photo in a minute.

Don't expect a perfect watertight seal against the glass!

I glued mine coz that was how the original was secured but possible some good double sided tape would work scratchchin

I used Gorilla tape, but you need to be accurate with your positioning before pressing it into position. Grabs like....
