Magic moments - first blats of the year!
Discussion
Got the S taxed on saturday and I couldn't wait to get out. Drove home from Sussex and arrived home early evening, put the new tax in and off I went (roof off of course).
This was my first run out since fitting the straight through exhaust and it is very loud. I was tailed for a couple of miles along a dual carriageway by BiB sitting in the outside lane in my blind spot (or so he thought) but he seemed to get bored and pulled off down a slip road after a while.
Yesterday, I took Mrs KS2 out to buy a few plants, suggesting a garden centre miles and miles away (any excuse eh) and a long tunnel on route too.
I dropped from 4th to 5th as we went into the tunnel and kept the revs to around 4000 (a few pops and bangs as I lifted off then on again) and the noise in that tunnel, Mrs KS2 face was a picture. She was grinning from ear to ear and shouted "woooohoooo" followed by "you can't ever sell him"!

I'm envious.
Trying to enjoy driving around Dorset can be sheer hard work most of the time. If I had false teeth, they'd be shattered. Most of the time I have to potter along at 30-40 otherwise I'd be flung off the road by the bumps. Some roads are very dangerous in the Tiv, with successions of bumps and potholes that would easily unsettle the car enough to spin.
One of the reasons that going for a short blat is never worth the effort for me.
Like a fool, part of my reason for buying the Tiv was to drive to work in the summer but the road I have to use is almost undriveable and certainly not enjoyable.
