Has anybody done this, was it difficult?

I'm currently beige but considering changing it and the carpets to black and fitting new seats too.

Black Vinyl seats.. in an open top car !! you'll burn you're A$$ bigtime ! especially enjoyable if you are wearing shorts, and get the backs of your legs

Talking from the experience of the dark blue seats matching the dark blue dash

Sunshine in the UK is so infrequent that I didn't consider that, another good point

OK ....forget this post, it's staying beige!
Or, doeskin as it's called on the original bill of sale.

Tan/Beige/doeskin is the way forward!! It looks good with pretty much any colour and very classic. It also ages very well.

I'd swap my "walnut" dash for a leather magnolia dash.... if I could.. mind you I have been toying with the idea of covering the parcel shelf/dash/floorpan in either carbon-fibre or metal sheet.... mainly because they are easier to dry than carpets!
