Roof Slots

Whilst my car was lying in a ditch last week I tried to put the roof back on (as it was about to chuck it down) and whilst doing so bent one of the metal slots (it was a good day all round really!) that fits into the targa section of the roof.

Anyone got ideas of how to solve this?

Super glue !

Seriously, are you talking about the metal tabs that locate the roof ? I always thought they were really tough, you can flatten in a vice and refit ?

I think we are talking about the same things. There are four slots in each roof panel - 2 front and 2 back - they fit into the holes on the windscreen and targa section respectively and hold it in place.

They seem to have a very small inner piece and a larger surrounding section (which has broken off on one or two - before my time) and has happened on another. Don't want to be driving along and have the bloody thing blow off!
