My battery is dead, didn't seem to last very long really. It's an Exide, do people have words of wisdom as to what would be good to replace it with.

Just had new manifolds made which sound quite nice.

Thinking of selling her later in the year as the cerb did 200 miles, the V8S about 150 and the bike about the same in the last 12 months, no time to use them. But it would be nice to enjoy some of the summer!

you need to find what is draining the battery - your car should last at least 3 weeks without needing to charge it up and still be able to start it.

Sell the Cerb, sell the bike, sell your soul ..... do not sell the S .... you'll regret it. Thought we may see you at SCH?

Possibly the interior light or the alarm system. Use a trickle charger to compensate until you can find out what the problem is.

Hi, sorry the battery is about 3 years old and is normally on a trickle charge (but not always) so I would have thought it would last somewhat longer.

Hi Darren, I understand you won well done!

I still regret selling my S2 but the lacquer is going so I am torn because both cars need some money spending on them.. eek.

Interior lights can be an issue.

I have no problem opening her up as she has an Anderson socket fitted although oddly when I left a trickle on connected to that (so I could open the boot) the charger started at about 0,3 and after 20 mins went to zero which I though odd.

On my charger that would just indicate battery full. Or broken maybe.

It's also sad to say battery's don't seem to last that long anymore I usually get 5 years from a Bosch but have had to claim on warranty for one too they come with 3 year warranty.

Bingo !! Sell one (the Cerb) and spend the money to do up the other one (the V8S )

Exactly the problem each could do with a bit spending on them, not really unusual for a TVR though!
I just got the bike back from the mot and am a little shocked I did (nearly) 50 miles in a year.
Why does work get in the way so much
