My new exhaust

Fitted my new (well second hand off ebay) stainless steel exhaust at the weekend, but had trouble bolting it up. The down pipes seem too high so the exhaust is tight up against the sump. How much room is there normally between the sump and the exhaust???

not a lot i think mine is about an inch just enough to get a clamp round

Less than an inch in my case.

You can always slide the downpipes down a bit from inside where they join the top manifold.. (ensuring you've still got enough inside to seal and drip with the U Clamp) to give a bit of room.
