These are apparently called JIS (Japanese industrial Standard) bolts.

These particular ones are M8 with a 10 mm head (13 is normal), I find them far better for bolting the exhaust manifolds to the heads, you can actually get a ring spanner on all of them.

These four are un-used (that's Copaslip on them) and I also have a dozen used, finish has dulled but quite usable.

The Japanese don't like using the number 13 anywhere, that's why they make these. They think it's bad luck.
