Brand New 2.8 Heads for sale

Interesting, do I detect exhaust valve seat inserts? If so these could be 2 of the rare very late 2.8 heads, or converted after sale. I have asked for confirmation and whether the D or F stamp is there.

Could you get a decent 2.9 for that money?

You could get a used 2.9, enormous variety in prices but perhaps £6-700 for a good used one. But even then it is a bit of an 'unknown quantity'. Getting harder to find though, although a search on ebay will find one within weeks. Inevitably it will be at the other end of the country! Finding an engine is far from the full cost when you have picked it up!
Fitting a 2.9 in a 2.8 isnt really viable, too many other ancillaries to change.

I have asked him to come back to me if he can confirm they have been converted to unleaded, at that price it would be a great deal less than having existing heads converted. Not that I am thinking of spending that much!
