I need my eyes tested

Last night I refitted the o/s caliper:

Then the n/s:

It didn't take me long to realise that the retaining clip holes were a tad too big....
Had to take them back to the auto factors this morning and now awaiting a replacement, either it was wrongly boxed or badly made.
Checked the receipt and it says Escort brakes but we matched them with the Lucas part numbers when I took the old ones in for exchange.
I guess I should have noticed the difference but had so many other things on the go I just applied the paint a week ago and left them to dry.
Going away next Wednesday, need to fix this and still waiting for new water pipes from ACT.... fingers crossed.

As you say, it would be a bit difficult to bleed off and need different flexi pipes.
Back at the Factors this morning and by co-incidence the chap I spoke to used to work for a TVR dealership
He said the caliper that was delivered was 'leading' instead of 'trailing'. Another set on the way and this time he'll compare them when they arrive.
Fingers crossed......
