I seem to remember in the dark distant past someone talking about a modified Tuscan racer bonnet being fitted to an S.

Has anyone done this or has the alcohol taken over my memory!!

Cheers Bill

Twas me.

Samy is currently 4th in line for works so no progress made.

The little work I've done on it is summerised;

Overall length is fine.
The back edge of the bonnet by the corners of the windscreen need some reshaping to match the S.
The width (of my Tuscan bonnet) is too wide. About 2 3/4 inches at the front and 3 inches at the rear.
The bonnet is very thin and flexible. Another layer of grp would help.
Need to add a duct to scope air through the three vents from the rad.

I think magpies or it might be greenv8s added the three slats to their S bonnet.

Hi, Thanks for that, I knew I hadn't dreampt it!
I am considering putting one on my S2 sprint car, just to save the original if nothing else!

Anyone selling a tuscan bonnet??

Cheers,
Bill

I took the Tuscan vents and added them to my S3 I considered the bonnet swap but mine was also a racer version and pretty tatty I also decided to keep it s looking smile narrowing the Tuscan one but keeping the vents as is also seemed too much work for me to do in the garden.

Vents work well don't think you need extra vents / duct I have actually closed off my upper bonnet vent (above no plate) and most of the lower one too.

Thanks

wasn't me

Alan Whitaker built a larger scoop for mine - to clear the Cossy 24v and not for extra air
