What should I lookout for

Hi,
Having just sold my restored 1600M because of a greedy scheming soon to be ex wife I have just had a small windfall so am travelling a long way on Saturday to see a nice looking S3 which I am rather hoping to bring home with me - I am no mechanic but do have a bit of experience due to owning the M for a few years.

Any tips or pointers on paticular areas to keep an eye out for would be much appreciated.

Hopefully will be posting here on Saturday with new P&J and then bombarding you lot with questions over the coming months.
