Seats were booked in to the upholsterers this morning to be re-padded and re-webbed. Having read plenty of previous threads about the difficulty of removing seats, I approached the job with some trepidation...
After three hours and with only two bolts removed (the easiest - outer rear on each seat), I gave up and went and hired a 4" angle-grinder. Ten minutes later, both seats out!
To anyone else contemplating the job, hire the angle-grinder first - don't mess with the old bolts. I've picked up a complete set of bolts, larger washers, half-nuts (see previous threads) and nyloc nuts for a few quid.
I should get at least one seat back in time to take the car to Bishop's Stortford for its new carpets!

Got my seats back on Wednesday and re-fitted them this morning, using new bolts and an extra half-nut under the seat runner - as recommended elsewhere on this site.
Seats are now comfortable, supportive and I'm no longer sitting on the floor with the reclining mechanism digging in my ar*e!
They've got to come out again next month for the new carpets to be fitted...
