Bright Casting/Aluminum

Been trying to improve the appearance of my bright casting/aluminium parts in the engine bay today using autosol / fine wire wool & elbow grease.
Does anybody known of any liquid products apart from coca cola / vinegar that will remove surface corrosion.

Oven cleaner and Brillo pads.. Worked a treat on this 280i plenum.



The oven cleaning products shifted all the dirt and I used a buffing wheel to give it a final polish.
