Reconolised/retrim of leather seats
Discussion
Chaps.
After 15 years of 'bum' use, my leather seats are cracking especially the drivers' side.
Looking at the prospect of having both seats retrimmed/reconolised. As I live in north Wiltshire, hoping to find someone fairly close by. Any thoughts?
The seats are magnolia finish. Does anybody have any idea what cost I should be looking at too?
Many thanks.

Paul,
I would check that you can reconolise, as if they are cracked a lot and the leather quite haed, it becomes a matter of replacement rather than renovate. Costs as per already stated, you could try Trimline a mobile service with vans all over the country should be one near you? retrim is about £350-450 for a pair of seats, although just replacing parts of the cracked leather and then reconolise might be the better option. Idid this on my old S2 and it looked great, just ask the new owner adyw?
If you want any more you have my contact details.
Regards
Mike

Thanks for your comments, I went into the search mode last night and saw your S2 pics before and after of some years ago, which made me decide to retrim them!
Having just had an excellant job done on the targa panels, it has made me realise, that I have to go the 'whole' way with the motor! Maybe next year. T
That's the good thing about the meet in Aug. I will be able to compare and make contacts!
However, thanks for the contact, I will look into it. Just one point, I thought you got p*ss*d off with them, because they messed you around?
Look forward to seeing you on Aug 15th - if not before.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,
Yes the Trimline guy in Cambridgeshire is/was an idiot, but Trimline is a franchise and I have used them in Surrey and Sussex and they were very good. What they do is excellent its just the idiot in Cambs didnt want to take the seats out in the Tiv as they were screwed in from underneath, go figure??
Personally I would get onto yeel.com and look for trimmers in your area, thats what I did int eh end, and a semi retired guy did a very good, reasonably priced job? Either way you should be OK?
There is a central number on the trimline website its .co.uk I think just give them a bell and they will put you in touch with the person in your area.
If you need any more info Paul, as always just e-mail me, good luck.
Regards

Guys
Thanks for all your help.
I Have come to the conclusion, I am going to use the guy who did my targa panels. Phoned up and checked with him this morning, for some reason I thought he wasn't interested in doing the seats. How wrong I was! As he did such a good job with the targa top, he must be the man! Especially as he is on my door step. Much prefer to use single guy / cottage industry rather than large firm. Love to do it straight away, but need to build up funds! Targa panels will be on view for inspection at Silverstone in Aug should anybody be interested.
Thanks to you all
