I have been looking at getting new pads & discs anytime now, not really tried to find part numbers etc yet but just called ford parts to see how much original replacements would be.......
standard discs £45.00 each.
let me know if you go for these as it looks like a decent deal.

I used to buy the standard fronts for about £14 quid a corner, from what I remember the non-vented rear discs were actually more expensive. The only reason I can see to pay more is if you are suffering from overheating and need grooved discs to address this. For normal road use, there's no point going grooved. Plain pads work better (more friction area), and produce less pad wear and less brake dust. (I haven't mentioned drilled discs, because you don't want to go anywhere near them under any circumstances. Just don't.)
