Bushes For S1 Koni Shocks
Discussion
Anyone know where I can get replacement rubber or Poly bushes for my Koni Shocks for my S1. It’s not going to be a track car so happy with original rubbers.
None of the usual TVR sites seem to have them and I’m not looking to replace the shocks / springs at the moment, that can come after if need be.
The shocks are adjustable Koni 80 2617 front, 80 2618SP3 rear.
Any help appreciated.

I looked into this when i had a set of koni dampers, I don’t think you can source the oringinal bushes.
I started to look into alternatives either of these companies might have something you could modify, fibet sell a semi-bonded bush you could press out of its existing housing and into the damper eyelet.

There are plenty of universal bushes around maybe one of them will do, I haven’t removed the old ones yet, but need to get the dims. Hopefully they will come out undamaged just in case need to re-fit for the short term.

Have a look HERE. Shaun Pickering refurbished my dampers a few years ago. Bushes were not available then but things may have changed. There was a post on PH a while back about a firm in (?)Poland offering bushes.
There’s a Poly bush manufacturer in Manchester that says they’ll make bespoke ones. I’ll get the dims and give them a call. GreenV8S said:
If you were stuck, you could probably cast your own poly bushes. I haven't done it myself, but it doesn't look difficult.
I was looking at that today myself. Seems simple enough and we have a 3D printer at work to make an accurate former, or could just get some Poly bar and get them machined, or buy a little lathe and do it myself. There must be some out there that fit perfectly, it’s just tracking them down. The supplier of Superflex is round the corner from me, so a trip into them will be my first point of call. This is what you're after..

ID - 13mm
OD - 30mm (approx - these are old & worn)
L - 38mm
There's nothing special about them and I'm sure there are bushes available off the shelf from somewhere, it's just a matter of finding a manufacturer which makes them in the correct dims and the right rubber hardness.
Simples

Are the holes meant to be off centre, or is that the wear, mine are the same?
Nice price too!
Maybe the bushes have become obsolete because they were 1/2"?

...13mm is not a "standard" metric bolt size....
The bush manufacturers I looked at only supplied 12mm or 14mm so that makes sense. It's quite possible my old bushes started life as 1/2" but have worn a bit over time. Reaming out a 12mm ID bush might be one option or enlarging the holes on the chassis/wishbone and fitting 14mm bolts might be another.Maybe the bushes have become obsolete because they were 1/2"?
I managed to get the correct replacement bushes for the Koni's on my Mini Cooper Sportpack MPi from Performance Parts RFT.

Trevor Leigh is the General Manager & very helpful indeed.
Not easy to fit & needed a press but all sorted eventually.
