Idle issue

[Solitude]

Friend has a 92 S 2.9

starts and runs, but wont idle unless throttle position sensor is disconnected.

Ant ideas ?

Can you borrow another TPS from someone? Swap it over and see if it solves the problem.

Do a continuity check and resistance check of the TPS. I don't know what the spec is for that engine but I'm sure somebody on the internet does.
