Instrumentation and U/J Gaiter...

The blue skies this morning saw me venturing out without my roof sections onboard. Upon leaving my old neighbour smiled as he told me that his barometer was 'falling'. "Well you'd better fix it more securely" I replied, and with that I roared off without a second thought for his f&cking barometer. Needless to say an hour later I was blasting thru a sudden downpour looking for the nearest covered petrol station...did TVR ever consider barometers as a standard bit of instrumentation....?

Anyways..having just renewed the lower u/j on the steering linkage and transformed the steering even more, even after doing the top one, I need some sort of gaiter to protect it from these sudden downpours...I would appreciate anybody's ideas ...Paul.

Generic steering rack gators do the job nicely. They usually come in pairs, which is handy ...

Cheers Mate...I went to Partco and asked for a set of universal steering rack gaiters today and the nice man obliged me with a pair costing £6.32. The hole one end is perfect but the hole the other end is a tad large. I asked the guy if I could see all his steering rack gaiters but the more I saw the less suitable they were for the job so I settled for the universal pair. They have only got to shield the u/j from a bit of splashing after all said and done... thanks again Paul.
