S Club Heaven - is it still on??
Discussion
If you could give a rough criteria, i.e does it have to be free entry, hard standing, Shelter (thinking of our glorious summer). I live locally so if need be, hopefully not, I can have a route around for some alternatives.
I really hope nothing's gone wrong there as they're great guys who provide an excellent service.

We know that some members have been having difficulties contacting Silverstone TVR over the past few days. It is with sadness, therefore, that we have to announce that we have been informed today by TVR Engineering’s PR manager Ian Law, that Silverstone TVR have ceased trading and have gone into receivership.
For members in the area, your nearest main dealers are Castle TVR at Stanstead (01279 647776) or TMS at Melton Mowbray (01664 481065). Alternatively, for servicing, repairs, upgrades or used car sales, you could try TVR Power in Coventry (024 7636 6177).
Of course Silverstone TVR were to have hosted the S Club Heaven event in August and we know that organisers are currently actively looking for an alternative venue. As soon as we have the details, we will post it here.
Bugger
- Sad news indeed....... Chris

Confirmation now appears to be up on the TVRCC website
I was sworn to secrecy until the official anouncement but Ian Law from the factory(I think) has been asking around on our behalf and offers are on the table, namely a Midlands venue at TVR Power and Paul at Austec has also kindly offered.
The point is that S Club Heaven 2005 will happen, come what may and as soon as Mike Smith can get a handle on the situation, he will make an anouncement.
To The Organisors of S Club Heaven.
Thought I would write and offer some help.
If you are still looking for a venue, I could ask on your behalf for venues, close to my home on the North Wiltshire border. Working with the Press, I have contacts with the former Red Arrows base at Kemble near Cirencester or the old airfield at Hullavington (just off Junction 17 of the M4) used by the Army.
Out of choice Kemble would be best, as it is constantly used for shows in the Summer. It has a wonderful cafe/bar/restrauant serving excellant food. And room for the odd blast down the 'side' runways (That I would have to check!) Plus it would make a great run down the Fosse Way for the guys from the Midlands area and further north.
Let me know.
Good luck
Paul.
PS Then again, failing that, we could go back to our other idea this year, Gaydon. Just a thought.

The chance of going for a blast has its attractions but could so easily get out of hand and end in tears, not worth the risk IMO. (This has been suggested as one of the reasons why VW makes such a good meeting point for the PH meets, the entry toll stops people getting too silly. Not that we should go to VW this time.) From what I can remember of Austec they'd struggle to find accomodation for 100 cars and I don't think it would be viable. Shamelessly trying to focus attention on venues around my area, it may still be possible to go to Silverstone if they're still trading and willing to put up with us, otherwise Topcats would get my vote if they'd have us.

I am inclined to agree about Topcats, I note you didn't comment on TVR Power Peter.
