What is the best car cover to buy. The S will be outside whilst I remove the front end for repair so I don't want the weather to abuse the rest of it.
Argos seem to sell some breathable jobbies for about £35, will that be ok?
Also, not sure about this one but, the porker is currently insured with performance insurance £230. Obviously with this being transferred to the new owner the shed will be taking it's place.
However, I will need to insure the TVR alongside the (s)chitroen...I have no experience of insuring two vehicles, I read somewhere that some companies 'mirror' no claims.
What is the general figure for an S3, for insurance and would it be better to start a policy with the citroen with zero no claims and use my full no claims for the tvr. I was quoted £430 with adrian flux which seems a little high compared to the paltry figure for the porsche.
I'm rambling. :banghead: My brain hurts, I have been fitting a clutch master cylinder today.

Can't comment on the Argos car cover... I've got an outdoor one from the Cover Company.... cost circa £130 IIRC ... soft lines, very durable outside... cant see this ripping unless someone took a knife to it.
Insurance.... you can go down classic car insurance if you want to restrict the mileage....

I paid about £120 for a specialised cover for the Chimaera. 6 months later the head gasket on the S blew and I went and bought a £20 from Argos. It fitted the car like a glove, had a similar lining to the £120 one and a similar exterior. I bought another for the Chimaera...

I kept my full no claims on my runabout ( especially as my son uses it) and got my S2 on Classic insurance. The fact that it is classic insurance, limited mileage etc seems to reduce the premium. The TVR still works out cheaper to insure than the Punto and even without my son on the punto policy there is not much difference in the final cost.
I am using a car cover from argos (cat number 740/9594) cost £19.99. I was gonna post about this cos I am very impressed with it, soft liner, durable and waterproof outer and it fits my S3 extremely well (it has stayed firmly in place in the wind) considering its not tailored for the car. In my opinion if you dont want to spend a fortune you couldnt really want better from an off the shelf cover.
On the insurance issue, mine is insured through Classicline, Bradford postal code, not garaged, I am 32, clean license, 6000 miles limited, premium £298 comprehensive. That is as a second car with no NCB applicable (oh and one incident in December 2003 declared).

...seems that the 1200 I'm paying for insurance is remarkably high, but it is for an every day car, no limited mileage, parked, on the street in london, oh and I'm 26 with 0 NCB! Still I paid it and I'm still grinning from ear to ear
Covers, I have one from Hamilton Classic, its very good, but if you're parking it anywhere it needs a parking permit (just like me
) its worth checking it has a permit window built in. having permit is not enough, it has to be displayed for those charming chaps with the parking fine printers
