What is the norm for these consoles? Mine is sprayed silver like the outside of the car and frankly looks hideous.
Are they usually trimmed in carpet/leather or some other substance. :yikes:

I am tempted to spray it black though.

Wildfire will take great exception to your comments about his dash covers, you do realise that underneath that metal is the original dash do you?

I don't mean the smaller bit, the whole centre console on mine is a very roughly sprayed bit of fibreglass that looks terrible. Even the gear gater wasn't secured to it. Simon did say it was on his list to do.
It looks as if someone took the leather off and sprayed it (badly).

You're right that is a bit grim. Mines colour coded to the seats. Not sure if it's leather or vinyl though.

Yep, leather or Albma I think. covering it shouldn't be too hard.

To get things moving, a respray would be ok.. Looked fine when I first got the car, but is looking tatty now I admit. It really didn't get looked after when the insurance co were sat around with their thumbs up their arses..

As it's cosmetic I agree with you...What do you think black would look like rather than silver?

IIRC Shmerm (Shmern?) retrimmed his... there was a thread, or he had his own website... going back a bit now, but worth digging out.

Never met the man, but chatted over e-mail a lot... top bloke and very helpful. Plenty of pictures at the above link (4 pages)... best of luck!
