Heater Blower - not

Well it isn't on the first setting seems to be okay on full power second setting.

Anyone had to get into the interior fan on the heater, can you without dismantling half the car ?

p.s. i know its summer but up here you still need it some mornings to keep the screen clear :)

I think the resistances for the heater blower are located under the bonnet, below the clutch and brake resevoirs on the drivers side. Hence are a bit exposed to road dirt!!
I think that for the low speed both resistances are used and for the higher speed just one is used...So I would imagine that the connections are corroded, hopefully, it will be a case of just cleaning 'em up!

On my S2, those 2 resistors mounted on the bulkhead/transmission tunnel on the drivers side just back from the coolant header tank are for dimming the dash board illumination, not the heater speed. I only found that out when I had to replace them.

I have no idea where the fan speed resistors are located.

On mine the problem was with the switch itself.

pretty sure this one has been covered before and the conclusion was that the first setting was useless on most of them.... is on mine.... full blast is ok though..
