Does anyone have an experience of doing this? I've looked in the bible, and it doesn't seem to describe the procedure. Do I need to remove the springs, or can the ball joint be removed with them in place?

Thanks in advance!

Have you lifted the bonnet and looked at it? It doesn't carry any weight so absolutely no need to touch the springs.

Haven't had the chance for a proper look yet, just wanted to know if I needed to buy extra tools on the way back from work! For some reason, the mechanic attempted to gesticulate throught the wheel arch after the MOT.

Done mine last year.

Simple enough unless bolts really corroded in place.

Be careful to note wich shims come out of where upon removal...mine was 1 either side IIRC.
