Have been repainting the rear chassis frame and had left the boot open all day, went to close the boot and the catch wouldn't latch. The solenoid is not working and I cannot get a voltage reading when using the key/alarm fob. Have checked the fuse box, there is no relay fitted in the position shown in the bible for a S3 so anyone got any ideas?
I found from searching old threads that the solenoid has part number MO301 but no indication of supplier, has anyone bought one recently and if so where from and price , please.
I am currently using the emergency release to get access.
Thanks in anticiption

Mine did that today as well, after leaving it open for most of the day.

Funny, but when I pushed the bottom right hand corner to close it, it worked perfectly again.

Mike, you were lucky, I fitted the new solenoid but it did not work. I have the fuse box out but no blown fuse have had the 7.5A RH Side Light fuse blow previously. I suspect that I am an electrical idiot and it is something obvious that my midget brain can't comprehend.
Your chassis painting is looking good, I have been doing the same, will post photos soon, did you use a spray gun to coat the frame?
