Just wanted to say I bought some new front tyres.
£135 for two. fully fitted in Northampton.
Having just driven 50 miles with them they feel great.
Also found out my tyres did not have enough pressure.
Now are running just lovely ! :driving:

I enquired about a set of RE 720’s a few days ago, and was told that Bridgestone was discontinuing them. Shame because they do seem a great tyre.

Hi Giles,

Cant remember the name of the franchise. But its a dealer next to Majestic wines near the Calsberg roundabout.(I will have a look at the invoice tomorrow for you ) First quote was £87 a tyre. But simply told them I would pay £135 for two. As usual, the guy liked the car and said yes ! I think they will do deals if they like the car ! If I was in my Rover MG he would have probably told me to stick my offer !!!!!!! Local.....yes, near Weston Favell.

Cheers , Adrian

PS. The lad that did my tyres spent about double the time on the car than he needed, told me all about my brakes, how it would be a pleasure to do a deal on them one day etc etc

What is it about TVR`s, people just seem to like the owners

Mr Clifford....

I get mine from Tyres Northampton, on the weedon road behind Halfords.

They have always looked after my S well, when i replaced my trailing arms with S3 adjustable ones, the manager spent hours setting up the tracking with the adjustable trailing arm shims... he must of spent 3 hours on it and used the laser tracking equipment all that time. When he'd finnished he just charged for 2 hours labour, thats it. I was very impressed.

I tend to find that at every tyre dealer there is at least one petrolhead who will come out to you quickly and pay a lot of attention.

cheers

Hi Giles,
Thanks for this. I have also used them in the past (for tyres)and even the lads from National Tyres recommended them !
Might use them again.
Always nice to know of decent garages. (specialists !)
Cheers,
Adrian
