Went to the London Tunnel run today great fun, but my mood was spoilt a little due to my mirror being broken. It was fine when I left and then I parked at the services grabbed some breakfast and headed off for the meet. On the M23 I notice the mirror is hanging off, now its either just fell off, (not likely, although we were travelling at some... er speed) or it was knocked in the car park, and a van did pull in next to me......???

So I need a new one the metal holding the mirror to the door has snapped?

Anyone know where I can get one, will try tvrparts tomorrow just thought I would ask and if anyone has a spare one let me know?

Mike..... is it hanging right off or has it come loose.... the S3c / V8s mirrors look like they are totally knackered when the grub screws come loose and they go all floppy and spin round..... only asking as when this happened to me I thought someone had smacked it one.... but just a loose screw!!

Mike,

You should be able to get just the component that broke from ozcomputers.

Try this link:

Mike,
Cheapest place for me was my local EURO car parts. Apparently, they have taken over the Citroen UK spares operation.
They had a brand new mirror to my local branch within 3 days IIRC.
The part itself does come with all the wiring and fittings/mountings - - but you need to prime and paint it yourself. About £70 - 75.

Hey Mike,

It is the entire mirror......

I just called them and spoke to a guy called Chris who runs the parts dept. I asked him if he'd go and check one for me and it is the entire mirror including the base fixing for the door and they are original citroen units.

The website says 27 quid but they are actually now 39 quid (still cheap) but if you call them a bit shrpish they may well let you have one for the advertised price.

Phone number for them is above!

Cheers,
K

Kev Spoke to them and had email confirmation they tell me its £110 for a new one and £50 for a used?

Are you sure you are getting a price for the full mirror or just the outer casing?

Hi Mike,

I called and had to phone back again because Chris who is the parts guy was on a call but when I did get to speak with him I asked him to confirm that it is the entire mirror and he went and got a box and took it out and confirmed whilst looking at it that it is the whole thing including the door mounting/fitting, all complete for £39 odd.

Ask for Chris as he seems to be the main man for parts.

Good luck!

Cheers,
K

Sorry, yes he also said it was new but old citroen stock, he seemed to know what he was talking about.

Will try again, but the guy I spoke to was adamant that its £110, and a reply to my web request also said the same, they probably quoted you for the manual not the electric one?

I didn't get anywhere trying to cut down an allen key, and eventually did a half-arsed version of your self-tapper solution which only left the mirror slightly wobbly!
