Quinton hazell 1175 fanbelt, coupled with quinton hazell vx astra hose (part number r1888)(for top hose on S3) fit perfectly and leave a good quarter of an inch clearance between the two.

Once you lop about an inch off the hose.

£9 for the pair.....luvly jubbly. :D

Odd that isn't it, my 1200 belt was the reason the top hose was chewed through.

Glad the suggestion of possibly squeezing on an 1175 worked out for you Mike. I was gonna try it myself but couldn't get one at the time but did try the 1150 and that wouldn't go over the pulleys.

Yes, top suggestion that, I levered it over the pulley. That, and a cable tie leaves about half an inch clearance when both hot and cold, so no more chafing.
