Well..............I had my centre console, steering shrouds and steering column(2x 17m bolts) out today to get the speedo working....and I reckon if you are good with your fingers you may be able to get at the oil pressure light.
I don't have gaenacologist's fingers though, so wouldn't have managed it.

The surrounds are literally held on by 2 screws which are hidden by the vinyl, but there should be an entry slit. One is directly behind the hazard switch, the other is underneath, and sort of half way down.
Pop the screwdriver in, undo those and they will separate.
Remove them, then peer down the shaft, you will see 2 17 ml bolts. Undo these, the spacers will drop out, then lower the steering column.
In goes your hand and bob's your uncle.
Don't forget to put the spacers back in though.
