Simple question...

Is there meant to be a bush of some kind within the two mounting points fixed to the steering column?

At the moment the only thing stopping the column moving around is the pressure on the washers when you tighten the bolts up.

We have now put a couple of washers down into the two mounts so the movement is much reduced and tightened the bolts right up.

Just seems odd that there's no bush...

I have the same on mine, seems strange to have such large slots for the size of bolts required, but I think it`s one of those tvr things, kind of like " yeah it fits okay, so we`ll put it in".
perhaps some have got bushes or spacers in???

Interesting. Anyone else have the same, or a bush?

We're probably going to make a couple of bushes as the steering wheel does get some use as support when getting in and out of the car.

I have two cylindrical spacers through which 2 17mm bolts pass through. They are approximately an inch and a quarter long.

Is that what you are referring to, or am I being a trifle dopey.
